A little bit of me

I’m 100% Italian and moved to the UK in 2002. Over the years, I’ve come to feel like a hybrid citizen, blending Italian and English cultures.

Things I like about London

Of London, I love the neat queues, Wimbledon, tea, Fish and Chips, the Roast Dinner, Dr Martens, the Jubilee Street Parties, the City of London, the Cops, the parks, Soho, Jazz Clubs, International Cuisine, the Red Buses, the cider, the tea, apple crumble, the Big Ben, the London Eye….oh my God the list could go on forever….

Things I like about Italy

Of Italy or Milan, where I am from, I love the cappuccino and brioche, Aperitivo, clothes shopping, Pizza, Scala, the Duomo, the ice cream, Christmas, the summer, the dialects, when you go and visit someone, and the first question is “would you like a coffee”, the supermarkets, cheese, ham, having dinner with friends and stay and chat up until 1 in the morning.

I live in Beckenham (South London) with my husband, two children and my cat, whom I love very much.

One thing I’ll never lose from my Italian roots is my love for food. In my home, there’s always a handmade dinner served on a properly set table. I’m very traditional in this sense and love the idea of everyone spending time around a table with food and drink. Friends are always welcome to come over for dinner! Saturday is always PIZZA day, and I make it from scratch!

things I like doing

I love going to the class gym early in the morning, doing marathons (only when I finish!), watching good films, having my cat sleeping on me, editing a good photo session, doing wedding photography (yes it’s also my passion), doing street photography with my littr street photography camera(when you come home with something good it’s a big reward for me!), watching tennis n TV (every tournament!), eating, go to museums, go to concerts, spending time with my friends.

I consider myself lucky to do a job that I really love.
