BEST 6 WEDDING VENUES IN SOUTH LONDON

If you are reading this post you just got engaged and you are just starting planning your wedding.

So what to start with? And at the first point, there is obviously the location, which is one of the most important things for the success of the event. I am deeply convinced that the location should reflect the mood of the wedding and the personality of the couple: cosy and familiar, romantic or sophisticated, the venue has to fit your idea of a wedding.

My name is Francesca from Piccolino Weddings and I have been working for years as a documentary wedding photographer around Kent and South London.  In my career, I’ve had the opportunity to work in small and large wedding locations,  luxurious or unformal, elegant or casual.

In this guide I will show you my 6 favourite wedding locations in South London (with one exception!), Indicating the most important features, such as the atmosphere of the location, the capacity of the rooms and the menu.  Enjoy the reading!

1) Romantic vibes – Rosendale Pub

West Dulwich

Imagine a fairytale wedding in the middle of the city: getting married in Victorian farmhouse furnished with a charming nineteenth-century taste. The Rosendale, historic pub in West Dulwich, is romantic and welcoming and features a small and pretty garden. The rooms – two private rooms, a bar, the dining room, plus three gardens – have a capacity of 120 seats. Hosting more than 50 weddings a year, the staff is very friendly and provides various additional services, including decorations and recommendation on various wedding suppliers. the gastro-pub menu is rich, based on seasonal foods. The Rosendale is equipped with a wedding license, and the ceremony can take place both in the East Room and in the West Room. I’ve posted some more photos of the Rosendale in one of my last blog post re a recent wedding fair at the Rosendale back in March
